Educational Consultant / School Admissions Advisor
Sarah Harris
What makes a great education consultant?
A good education consultant must clearly understand the child at the centre at the school search, what is the best fit academically but also in terms of extra-curricular interests, what are the aspirations of the family and what types of schools would be most relevant. They must also have an encyclopaedic knowledge of UK schools, what are the individual benefits of these schools as well as thorough understanding of the entrance procedures and be able to guide the family through the process.
What are you trying to help families achieve?
We provide help, support and expert knowledge to assist families in making the right selections for their child. So their education allows them to achieve the best possible outcomes.
What are your own extra-curricular interests?
I enjoy the great outdoors - walking, swimming, skiing, trips in our camper van, as well as yoga and pilates.
What makes Commons Education different?
Commons Education can offer a very personalised approach to school selection. Our team are experts in education, with more than 20 years’ collective experience of working in selective schools. Adam is an expert teacher and tutor, while I have 12 years of experience as an admissions registrar in selective London schools, so I know what families, and schools, are looking for.
Who or what inspires you?
I like to work with like-minded people who share the same commitment to providing excellent advice and support for young people to make the most of the educational opportunities available.

After 12 years of managing the 11+ process for senior schools she is well versed in getting the best for families
She has extensive experience managing international relocations of families returning to the UK, or moving here for the first time.
