Finding the right school for your child – getting a good fit

Finding the right fit school for your child that is aligned with their strengths, interests, areas of difficulty, your family's values, and one that is accessible in terms of academic entry requirements, costs, catchment areas and commuting can feel like mission impossible – or a difficult task at best.

The next questions are:

-Single-sex or co-ed?
-State or private?
-Day or boarding?
-Making moves at 7, 10, 11, 13 or 16?

The London education system can seem complex and difficult to navigate. Alongside teaching, I have guided 200+ families in the UK and around the world through school transitions as an advisor and educational consultant.

My job as an educational consultant is to guide parents towards the right fit school where their son or daughter will thrive; I help plot a pathway for your child that leads to long-term happiness and success.

I pride myself on recommending educational options that draw on your son or daughter's talents and, most importantly, are the right fit for them. If you are a fan of the BBC programme ‘Escape to the Country’, then you will be familiar with the ‘mystery house’… Similarly, I use my wide knowledge of the field to try and find the mystery school! An option a family may not have considered but one that might be just right for a child.

More about my educational consulting practice for families: helping to find the right school for your child with academic assessments and school searches for UK-based and international families.
